Marine Lake Events Centre Consultation

Welcome to Sefton Council’s consultation on plans for a new Marine Lake Events Centre (MLEC) and Water and Light Show in Southport.

A public consultation on the proposals for the MLEC and Water and Light Show was undertaken between 26 May and 10 June 2022. Thank you to everyone who attended an event and shared feedback with us.

What happens next

All of the feedback received during the consultation process is being collated and considered by the project team. A Statement of Community Engagement will be submitted with the planning application. 

This will feature a summary of the feedback as well as a response from the project team on how that feedback has been incorporated or considered in the final scheme design. Further updates will be provided on the key themes raised during consultation at this time.
