Overview

Welcome to Sefton Council’s consultation on plans for a new Marine Lake Events Centre (MLEC) and water and light show in Southport. The feedback form sets out a few questions to enable us to consider your views about the proposed scheme.

We would like to hear your views on the proposed plans for the Southport Marine Lake Events Centre.  Thank you to those who attended our consultation events which were held as below:

  • Friday 27th May between 11.00am – 6.00pm at Southport Market
  • Saturday 28th May between 11.00am – 3pm at Southport Market
  • A live webinar event between 6 – 7pm on Thursday 26th May

Please note that at the end of this survey, before submitting your results, you will be asked if you want to provide an email address so that you can receive a PDF copy of your response. This is completely optional. The email address is only used to send the email to you via the online consultation system provided by Delib as the data processor. The email address will not be stored with the responses and Sefton Council will not have access it. You may be asked for your email address as part of the consultation, but this will be in line with the Privacy Notice.

What happens next

All of the feedback received during the consultation process will be collated and considered by the project team. A Statement of Community Engagement will be submitted with the planning application. 

This will feature a summary of the feedback as well as a response from the project team on how that feedback has been incorporated or considered in the final scheme design. Further updates will be provided on the key themes raised during consultation at this time.
