Coastal Change, Flood Risk, and Water Management

What the Plan Must Do

  • Plan for long‑term coastal change and resilience.
  • Ensure sustainable drainage systems are incorporated when needed in new development.

Issues to Consider

  • The changing nature of Sefton’s coastline.
  • Sea, river and surface water flood risks and how these can impact the location of new development.
  • Working in partnership working with the Environment Agency and United Utilities.
