Overview

This survey is to find out from school career advisor/leads about their schools offer in terms of courses related to child development.  It will help inform the Recruitment and Retention Action Plan. Recruitment and Retention is one of the biggest threats to the Local Authorities statutory responsibility to ensure sufficient Early Years childcare. It is essential therefore that we consult on opportunities and barriers of careers within the sector.

Why your views matter

Your views are important to us as they will help us decide how to understand the views of ycareers leads and their work with young people who may want to persue a career working with young children, including opportunities and potential barriers.

Responses will support the Early Years team develop their strategy around recruitment and retention in the Early Years Sector. Findings will also be shared with senior leaders in Sefton Council and the Liverpool City Region Recruitment and Retention group as part of our research. Identifiable information will not be shared.

We estimate that this survey will take approximately 5 minutes to complete. We have asked participants for the name of their school so that we can identify the offer regarding courses relating to child development.
