Help Shape Sefton’s Technology Enabled Care Strategy.

Sefton Council is developing a new Technology Enabled Care (TEC) Strategy for the coming years, and we want local people to help shape it.

What is Technology Enabled Care?

Technology Enabled Care can include things like:

  • Personal alarms and safety sensors
  • Technology to support daily living at home
  • Digital tools that help people stay connected and independent
  • Technology that supports carers and families

You don’t need to be familiar with any of this, we will explain everything clearly during the sessions.

These solutions only work well when they are designed around real people, real lives, and real experiences.

That’s why we are inviting residents to take part in coproduction sessions, where your views will directly influence how technology is used in care and support across Sefton.

Who Can Get Involved?

We welcome anyone who has experience of care or support, including:

  • People who use care or support services.
  • Unpaid carers, family members, and friends.
  • Older people.
  • Disabled people.
  • People with long‑term health conditions or additional needs.
  • Parents and carers of children and young people with SEND.

If technology has helped you, confused you, frustrated you, or you’ve never used it at all your views matter.

What Will the Sessions Be Like?

The sessions will last 2 hours and will be:

  • Friendly and informal.
  • Small group discussions.
  • Focused on listening and sharing experiences.
  • Supported by staff to make sure everyone can take part.

During the sessions, we’ll talk about:

  • What helps people feel safe and independent.
  • What works well in current care and support.
  • What doesn’t work or feels difficult.
  • What people would like to see change in the future.
  • Any worries or concerns about technology.

There are no right or wrong answers - we are there to learn from you.

We will be organising the first two coproduction sessions to take place in June (dates to be confirmed).  Please sign up, using the link below.  We will then let you know the dates and venues.  You will only need to attend one of these initial meetings.

Why your views matter

Why Take Part?

By joining a coproduction session, you will:

  • Help shape how care and support is delivered in Sefton.
  • Influence future decisions about technology and services.
  • Make sure local plans reflect real experiences.
  • Help improve support for individuals and carers.

What you tell us will directly inform our final strategy.

Sign up to get involved.
